With a journalism degree from Rutgers University, Debra began her writing career as a freelance correspondent with a local newspaper before venturing into copywriting for several Fortune 500 companies and subsequently working full-time in communications for the nonprofit sector.

She is currently writing features and profiles for a New Jersey marketing & media agency for publication in the Star-Ledger and Jersey’s Best magazine.
